Lenovo Smart Privacy Services
Lenovo is releasing a new subscription service that’s designed to help manage your online privacy. It comes with a bunch of tools and features that enhance your safety while on the internet. First, it lets you choose what data is shared across websites, anti-tracking, VPN features, and a privacy scanner.

The subscription will also notify you when it detects that your accounts have been leaked in data breaches, found on select public search sites, or in unwanted email lists.
Finally, the new Lenovo subscription will include a password manager that stores and manages your logins, passwords, and payment information in a secure vault. There’s also a browser extension that automatically fills in your information.
Lenovo said its new service will launch in the US on August 31, 2021, via Lenovo.com and the Lenovo Vantage app on Lenovo PCs. The company says it’ll expand globally at some point in 2022. However, while it did say the service would be a subscription, the company didn’t announce a price.
Is Any of This New?
While Lenovo is bringing many useful security features together, it’s also not doing anything new here. Most browsers offer do not track options, and you can sign up for plenty of free services that’ll scan the web for your information.
Of course, for those VPN features, you’re probably better off choosing from one of the best VPN services out there.
And, of course, there is no shortage of password managers out there, several of which are available without a subscription.
It’ll come to how much Lenovo charges for its service. Bringing everything to one subscription is useful, but the price has to be right.
